She also enjoys riding her bike to a nice spot to sit down with a book or climbing the trees by the river near her house. Ask her anything about history and she would gladly talk about the documentaries she has watched or the museum she visited or the history book she just read. How it all began…
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always loved dressing up, reenacting Disney movies, and putting on shows for my toys.
When I was five, my parents put me in dance classes because I wanted to be graceful and dance like a princess at a ball.
I was gifted a Cats the musical CD! This changed everything! This cast recording cemented what I wanted to do with my life at such a young age. I wanted to perform!
I dressed up as Victoria from Cats all the time!
I started to teach myself the original choreography from the 1998 pro-shot of Cats, practicing my “Victoria leg” from her dance solo because she was my favorite Cat.

Still obsessed with Cats and dancing, I learned more about other musicals and the importance of singing while telling a story. I became captivated by Les Misérables! I even celebrated my joy of these shows with Cats and Les Misérables birthday parties! Yes, I had interesting birthday choice themes as a child haha!
→
When I turned 14, I got to see the revival of Cats on Broadway! I remember practicing the choreography that whole day leading up to the show just in case they needed me haha!
Ballet brought me the opportunity to train with the Bolshoi ballet for two summers in NYC and be closer to the Broadway scene! There, I would learn the choreography to my favorite shows those summers (Beetlejuice and Moulin Rouge) and go to those theaters after class and rehearsal to listen in on the show and “rehearse” the choreography just outside. I wanted to be prepared for when I could be in those dancing tracks. That first summer I even came back from NYC and made my own Lydia Deetz (Broadway version) dress from scratch and am very proud of it!
I continued dancing and practicing that “Victoria leg” hoping to one day pursue a musical career.

Then came college auditions, and I was so nervous! I felt as though I knew nothing about how this process all worked and had only ever danced for auditions before, never sang. I would dance through Victoria’s solo from Cats every night before an audition, even if it was in a hotel hallway, because I thought it gave me good luck.
…And, it did give me luck because I got into Rider University! I was so excited to finally be one step closer to being on the career path of my dreams!
I booked my first musical as Little Red Riding Hood in Into The Woods…in Italy! How cool!

…Twice! The second time I had the privilege to be in Cats, Naomi Naughton (cast member of Cats on Broadway from 1993-1995) directed and set the original choreography on us. I was so grateful to learn from her and perform the choreography I had been drilling since childhood!
Now, I am so excited to see what the future hold for me and am filled with gratitude to be able to continue pursuing my dreams!
